DUTCHESS COMMUNITY COLLEGE OPENS BRAND NEW CAMPUS AT HUDSON VALLEY REGIONAL AIRPORT IN WAPPINGER

On Thursday, June 25, the Town of Wappinger welcomed Dutchess Community College back to our community with the grand opening of the new Dutchess Community College at Hudson Valley Regional Airport. Supervisor Richard L. Thurston joined Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, County Legislator Joseph D. Cavaccini, Councilman Al Casella, and other local dignitaries in celebrating the grand opening of the new college campus in the New Hackensack hamlet.The nearly 32,000-square-foot facility will also serve as experiential lab space for a fixed-base operator and maintenance facility serving the airport. Classes for the College’s new aviation maintenance technician program begins August 16 while pilot and aviation management instruction begins August 23. Programs include Airframe Powerplant Certificate (APC), Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT), Aviation Management (AVM), Aviation Science: Pilot (AVI)
